The Nevada Mining Association (NVMA) has recognized 47 miners for their industry-wide commitment to safe mining operations as part of its annual Individual Safety Awards program.
“Safety is always of utmost importance in Nevada’s mining industry, and I am so proud to congratulate this year’s award recipients,” said NVMA Interim President Dana Bennett.
“It’s an honor to celebrate these incredible individuals who continue to lead by example and go above and beyond to show extraordinary commitment to the mining industry’s safety culture.”
The NVMA Individual Safety Awards are based on performance during the previous calendar year. A total of 133 nominations were submitted for the 2023 edition and voted on by industry peers. The winners, listed below, will be recognized during a Celebration of Excellence dinner on September 8 at the NVMA’s 110th Annual Convention in Lake Tahoe.
